This collection, vividly rendered on Bao Loc silk, features hand-painted and ombre-dyed designs depicting 60 of the world’s most famous landmarks, showcasing the natural wonders and architectural feats from around the globe.

It made a striking debut on the international stage at the Miss Cosmo 2024 pageant held in Vietnam, worn by beauty queens from various countries and territories.

This collection draws inspiration from the awe-inspiring natural landscapes and iconic architectural masterpieces from across the continents. Notable representations include the Eiffel Tower in France, Sydney’s cityscape in Australia, the Statue of Liberty in the USA, Venice in Italy, Malaysia’s Petronas Twin Towers, and the Merlion in Singapore, among others.

It also features lesser-known yet significant sites like the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico, Auckland in New Zealand, Kajuru Castle in Nigeria, Gdansk in Poland, Cape Town City Hall in South Africa, Mount Roraima in Venezuela, and Sevilla Square in Spain.

For Vietnam, Trung Dinh chose to depict the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex in Ninh Binh Province, the home province of the representative of Vietnam at Miss Cosmo 2024, Bui Xuan Hanh. The pageant activities also took place in this iconic setting, enriching the cultural exchange.

Trung Dinh expressed the challenges of selecting just one emblematic scene or landmark for each country, especially for less globally recognized territories. "It took a lot of time to research and decide among various landmarks, even consulting opinions to choose the most representative symbols," said the designer.

His team spent months meticulously painting and dyeing to perfect the 60 unique designs. Each ao dai in the collection is treated as a one-of-a-kind piece of art, vividly brought to life with sharp, realistic detailing by Trung Dinh's masterful use of colors and textures.

The designer has a profound affection for the Vietnamese ao dai and silk materials. Through his long-term project "Silk Sings on Shoulders," Trung Dinh aims to preserve and promote Vietnam's traditional silk weaving crafts and kindle a love for the ao dai. He actively participates in cultural promotions, showcasing his ao dai collections at various festivals and international events in cities like Porto, Osaka, and at global exhibitions like the Asian and Chinese Exhibition in Guangxi, China.
