VietNamNet Bridge – The wretched life of patients and their relatives at hospitals is revealed at a photo exhibition named “Health Market” at No. 45 Trang Tien, Ha Noi.
The banner: "You cannot turn hospitals into markets, where doctors become traders."
That is the instruction by PM Pham Van Dong to Health Minister Do Nguyen Phuong decades ago.
The exhibition gathers over 100 photographs by the staff and collaborators of the Center for Population and Health Initiative. Through the photos, the audience can see the multi-dimensional images of the status of the health sector in Vietnam, the gaps in health service supply, the pressure, and the burden for both the service user and the provider.
The organizers said the pictures do not aim to worsen the image of the health sector, but to help people see things clearly from which to improve the quality of health care services to serve the people.

In addition to photos, the exhibition also showcases some of the words by the patient after going through the troubles at hospitals.
