The thriller For No Eyes Only is among the German award-winning movies to be shown free in Hà Nội and HCM City on each Wednesday from February 15 to April 26.

For No Eyes Only, directed by Tali Barde is a story of computer addict Sam who gets himself into a risky situation after hacking of other people’s webcams. Due to a hockey accident, Sam is forced to stay home with a broken leg. Just when he is about to die of boredom, he hits upon a hacking software that enables him access to external webcams.

The shy teenager becomes a hidden voyeur and finds out everything about the intimate secrets of his classmates.

Born in 1990, director Barde was already interested in acting during his youth. After several short films the young actor, director and scriptwriter Barde realised For No Eyes Only together with the film group of his former school.

During the production process he founded the production company and recently finished his second film Dot. 

The 97-minute movie won many awards including Youth Film Award - LUCAS Int. Childrens Filmfestival Frankfurt, Germany; Best Feature - Thriller!Chiller! Film Festival, Michigan, US; Audience Award Best Feature - Grenzlandfilmtage Selb, Germany and Audience Award Youth Film Programme at Pula Film Festival, Croatia.

For No Eyes Only will be screened with English and Vietnamese subtitles on March 22 at Hanoi Goethe Institute, 56 Nguyễn Thái Học Street and HCM City’s Saturday Afternoon Coffee, 19b Phạm Ngọc Thạch Street, District 3.

It is a part of Spring Cinema programme aiming at introducing the most popular German movies of the past years. Other movies will be shown including Who Am I - No System Is Safe; animation film Animals United - Adventure in Africa; Macho Man; Single by Contract; Head Full of Honey; Victoria; Fortune Favours the Brave and Offline - Are You Ready for the Next Level. 

Who Am I - No System Is Safe is a pacy and visually striking cyber-thriller while animation Animals United - Adventure in Africa tells about a decision by the animals to stop the humans from destroying the planet.

Who Am I - No System is Safe won the best director at Bavarian Film Prize and the animated movie won German Animation Screenplay Award at the Festival of Animated Film Stuttgart and Bavarian Film Award in the category Children’s Film.

All screens will begin at 7pm with German language and English and Vietnamese subtitles.
