President chairs judicial meeting

President Truong Tan Sang on Friday chaired the sixth meeting of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform, discussing efforts to revamp the judicial sector's facilities and human resources.

The steering committee pointed out that the project, prepared by the Supreme People's Court and the People's Procuracy, was able to touch on several important areas of judicial reform, including finance, land, investment plans, and information technology.

The committee noted that the committee drafting the project must take into account the country's constant socio-economic changes and development issues.

Members agreed that the project must set out a clear timeline for implementation.

President Sang also asked the acting members of the steering committee and other relevant agencies to discuss further ideas to submit to the Politburo of the Central Committee.
