NA Standing Committee to discuss law building programme
The second session of the National Assembly Standing Committee will take place from September 26 to November 1 to discus many important issues and prepare for the upcoming session of the 13th National Assembly.
The committee will hear the Petition Committee’s report on dealing with citizens’ complaints and denunciations and voters’ petitions to the 8th and 9th meetings of the 12th NA.
It will also discuss a plan to build laws and ordinances, a report on the implementation of laws and policies on the environment in economic zones and craft villages, a Government report on land use plans for the 2011-2015 period and the 2011-2020 period and a national target programme for the 2011-2015 period, a government bond-using programme for the 2011-2015 period and a project to renovate and improve the operational quality and efficiency of the NA.
The committee will also contribute opinions to a Government report on the implementation of socio-economic plans and State budget estimates for 2011; socio-economic development orientations, tasks and plans; State budget estimates and allocation plans for 2012; and socio-economic development plans for the 2011-2015 period.
It will also focus on the question of adjusting and completing important laws, such as the Tertiary Education Law, the Advertising Law, the Price Management Law, Law on Legal Dissemination and Education, Law on Judicial Assessment and Tobacco Harm Prevention Law.
Vietnam, Russia parties boost ties

Chairman of the UR Party’s Supreme Council Boris Gryzlov, who is also Duma Speaker, made the affirmation while receiving Hoang Binh Quan, member of the CPV Central Committee and Head of the CPVCC Commission for External Relations in Moscow.
He said that the relationship will help promote the two countries’ strategic partnership and highlighted Vietnam’s development achievements gained under the leadership of the CPV.
Mr Quan, who attended the 12th UR Party Congress on Sept. 23 and 24, handed a congratulatory message from the CPVCC to the congress.
He affirmed the Vietnamese Party and State’s consistent policy of attaching importance to enhancing the trustful traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and strategic partnership with Russia.
Mr Quan spoke highly of the UR Party’s role in Russia’s political stability, socio-economic development and national comprehensive modernisation.
Both host and guest discussed ways to further promote the relationship between the UR Party and the CPV through the implementation of the cooperation agreement signed between the two Parties in November 2009.
During the congress, the Vietnamese delegation met and discussed with other delegations to boost their relationship in the future.
CPV congratulates United Russia Party Congress
The Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) sent a message of congratulations to the United Russia Party for its 12th Party Congress.
The Congress was held on September 23-24, as all the political parties in Russia are preparing for the State Duma elections in early December.
Earlier on July 21, the ruling United Russia Party began its primary selection of the party’s representatives to the State Duma.
Vietnam, Argentina boost multi-faceted cooperation
The Vietnam-Argentina relations and many framework agreements signed by the two countries are firm foundation for the two sides to conduct detail cooperative projects.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina Nguyen Van Dao affirmed this at a visit to the northeastern province of Misiones, which was made at the invitation of President of the Argentina –Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians Group Julia Perie.
The Mayor of Misiones’ provincial capital of Posadas Orlando Franco, briefed Mr Dao on the province’s potential and its demand during the meeting.
He pledged to support Vietnam’s projects in the province, especially in the fields of investment, raw materials export and cultural exchange.
During the visit, Dao also met the Vietnamese community in Misiones.
