VietNamNet Bridge - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a project worth more than VND500 billion ($25 million) to build two DNA testing centers to identify the remains of martyrs.

One DNA testing center will be managed by the Ministry of Public Security, with a total estimated VND285 billion ($14 million) and the other will belong to the Academy of Science and Technology of Vietnam, with a VND229 billion ($11 million) investment.

The Prime Minister has assigned the Ministry of Public Security and the Academy of Science and Technology of Vietnam to implement the project.

The two centers will be built to serve Project 150, which aims to identify at least 4,000 sets of remains of martyrs a year, so that by 2020, 80,000 sets of remains of martyrs will be identified by the genetic testing method.

Vietnam has three DNA testing centers, which tested 285 sets of martyr remains last year.
