VietNamNet Bridge – Officials from the National Assembly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, central and local governments joined experts and researchers at a seminar on March 25 to discuss the government’s draft report on results of the nationwide opinion poll on the draft amendments to the 1992 constitution.

Addressing the seminar held by the Steering Committee for Reviewing the Implementation of the 1992 Constitution, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that basically, the committee did a good job in organising the collection of opinions on the draft amendments.
According to the draft report made by the steering committee, by March 25, the Ministry of Justice had received reports from 29 out of the total 30 ministries and central agencies and 59 out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide. A total of 28,014 seminars and conferences were organised nationwide and around 15 million opinions were collected.
The deputy PM, who chairs the steering committee, said the opinions have been summed up in an accurate, adequate and impartial manner in the steering committee’s draft report.
The steering committee will continue receiving opinions from experts, scientists and State administrators to complete the draft report, Phuc added.
The draft report also suggests adjustments to the draft constitutional amendments, focusing on stipulations relating to the government at central and local levels.
Participants at the seminar gave more opinions on the function, duties, position and role of the government in the State apparatus.
