With consumption of clean and green products gaining popularity, a monthly flea market called “Saigon Green Fair” is held on Saturday and Sunday at Café D’anver coffee shop on Le Thanh Ton Street, District 1, HCMC. Visitors can find items that are environmentally friendly and good for health.
The flea market was turned into reality from the idea of Dao Le Dieu Yen and Le Van Anh who used to study and work in the environment field.
The market session last weekend featured 50 stalls of enterprises, individuals and non-profit organizations.
Customers inspect clean vegetables on sale at the Saigon Green Fair last weekend in HCMC’s District 1. Most items sold at the market are organic or vegetarian products and meet Vietnamese Good Agriculture Practice (VietGAP).
Apart from domestic products, the market sells goods imported from Italy, Japan, India and Malaysia.
An area for children at the market. Children are guided to recycle used materials or draw and paint to create environment-theme artworks.
Visitors are also invited to join a conference on how to identify green products. |
