VietNamNet Bridge – Le Thu, who was honored as the outstanding Asian guitarist at the International Guitar Competition 2010 in India, will participate in the fifth North-South Guitar Exchange show on April 22 in Hanoi.

The talented female guitarist will perform with her two friends, who performed together on Hanoi’s stages a couples of years ago – Le Hung Phong and Tuan Khang.

Five years ago, Le Thu, Le Hung Phong, Tuan Khang and Nguyen Quang Vinh were called the “Super-foursome” of guitarists. The only woman in the troupe – Le Thu, now lives in New Delhi, India and is the chief of the Guitar Faculty of the Bridge Music Academy.

Le Thu performed on stages at the age of five. She has won many prizes at home and abroad. Returning to Vietnam this time, she planned to revive the “Super-foursome”. However, Nguyen Quang Vinh, refused to join because his viewpoint is guitar only suitable for small spaces, without using microphones.

Three guitarists - Le Hung Phong, Tuan Khang and Le Thu, believed that they could still win the heart of the audiences through the “Fly with the Dance” guitar show at Khan Quang Do Theatre, Hanoi. The show will focus on valse, tango and Spanish folk melodies.

“Fly with the Dance” is the first show of a project named “North-South Guitar Exchange” project, which will introduce the best Vietnamese guitarists like Chau Dang Khoa, Nguyen Tri Doan, Cao Hong Ha, Nguyen Van Phuc, Nguyen Thanh Hang, etc. to the audience. The project aims to resume the movement to play guitar in the community.
