VietNamNet Bridge – Ngan Thuong, who has received an Olympic card from reserve position, is suffering from her left ankle.

Bad luck continues to follow the one-time queen of gymnastics of Vietnam, Do Ngan Thuong. During her drilling in China, the wound on her left ankle has recurred and she had to return home for treatment.

Ngan Thuong will be sent to Singapore for treatment. However, doctors will not perform an operation because the Olympics are very near and Thuong will surely be ousted from the event.

Doctors will fix the broken ankle. The gymnast will resume practicing uneven bars and balance beam for the Olympics. These categories do not highly require the move of legs like other contents.

Ngan Thuong’s left ankle was broken during her training for the Southeast Asian Games 2011. The wound got more seriously and hindered the gymnast from fulfilling her performance at the qualifier round of the Olympics two months later.

In the qualifier round, she entered the reserve list and was informed to get a ticket to the Olympics two weeks ago.
