VietNamNet Bridge – Injured gymnast Nguyen Ha Thanh will not take part in the 17th Asian Games in South Korea.

Thanh, who was expected to win a medal in the men's vault and rings events, got injured during a training session a few months ago. He could not recover in time for the Asian Games, which will commence on September 19 in Incheon City.

Two other Vietnamese medal hopes in gymnastics are Phan Thi Ha Thanh in the women's vault event and Pham Phuoc Hung in the men's parallel bars event.  

Thanh is the second Vietnamese sportsperson to miss the Games, the other being sepak takraw player Nguyen Thi Hai Thao.
