VietNamNet Bridge – After a successful goat fighting competition in Peop village in September, the authorities of Hoang Su Phi district in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang has held another competition in Thong Nguyen commune.

The event had the participation of 24 “fighters” at three weight categories, 31-35kg, 36-40kg and 41-50kg from Thong Nguyen, Nam Dich, Nam Ty, Nam Son, Nam Khoa and Ban Peo communes.

Hoang Su Phi currently has more than 24,000 goats. This animal is the most popular domestic animals in the district. The competition is expected to become an annual event in Hoang Su Phi.
