The costly "game” with Ha Long Bay
If Ha Long Bay could talk…

Bernard Weber said that he was impressed by the bay’s beauty. He confirmed to vote for Ha Long Bay in the final round.
Pham Minh Chinh, Quang Ninh province’s Party Secretary, said that the province would organize many campaigns to call for people to vote for the bay.
The official promised that the local authorities would take many measures to protect the bay’s environment.
A New7wonders delegation, led by Director Jean Paul De la Fuente, arrived in Vietnam on September 26 to inspect Ha Long Bay.
Mr Fuente held a working session with leaders of Quang Ninh province as well as the committee in charge of mobilizing votes for Ha Long Bay and the Bay’s management board.
On September 28, the delegation is scheduled to meet with Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism regarding the voting for Ha Long Bay.
Later during their visit to Hanoi, the delegation will visit the Temple of Literature, and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum as well as holding exchanges with students from the University of Culture and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, and meeting with the press.
The visit takes place with only 45 days left before the new Seven Wonders of the World are announced on November 11. Ha Long Bay is still on top of the list.
