VietNamNet Bridge – The Ha Noi People's Committee will ban the use of pavements and roads for parking vehicles on 262 streets in nine districts as of February 15.

The committee has asked the municipal Department of Transport to revoke business licences of vehicle parking attendants in the districts of Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh, Hai Ba Trung, Dong Da, Cau Giay, Thanh Xuan, Tay Ho, Long Bien and Hoang Mai.

Major streets will include Ba Trieu, Hang Bai, Hue, Trang Tien and Hang Khay.

The department has been urged to work with municipal police to increase inspections and punish violators.
