VietNamNet Bridge – Top striker Le Cong Vinh struck again to help Ha Noi T&T defeat their northern rivals Hai Phong 3-1 away in the early game in the 10th round of the V-League on Saturday.

Vinh, headed home in the 36th minute after his team-mate Argentinean Marronkle Gonzalo had opened the scoring just five minutes into the game.


Last week, Vinh also made an impressive return to the V-League scoring a brace for Ha Noi, ending a 389-day goal drought.


The 26-year-old resumed training last October after recovering from knee surgery.


Hai Phong's defence and midfield allowed far too much time to the visitors as they dominated possession.


Nguyen Minh Chau and Nigerian Epke Aniekan Okon put in lacklustre performances as Ha Noi's Gonzalo, Vinh, Ngoc Duy and Van Quyet seemed to be able to launch attacks at will.


Brazilian striker Thiago Dos Santos temporarily lifted home spirits when he pulled a goal back through a deflection off a Hanoian defender in the 64th minute, sparking wild celebrations from 15,000 partisan fans.


However, Cristiano Roland finished the game off for the defending V-League champions, when he tapped the ball in from Van Quyet's low cross in the 73rd minute.


The Hanoian side climbed to fourth place, while Hai Phong went dropped to 11th.


Also yesterday, two-time V-League champions Dong Tam Long An beat Hoa Phat Ha Noi 1-0.


The 2008 champions, Da Nang drew 1-1 with Binh Duong at home, while Dong Thap beat Ninh Binh 2-0.


Hosts Song Lam Nghe An cruised to a 2-0 win over bottom team Ha Noi ACB; Hoang Anh Gia Lai were held to a 1-1 draw by Navibank Sai Gon.


At Thanh Hoa Stadium, Thanh Hoa edged Khanh Hoa 1-0.
