VietNamNet Bridge – The Ha Noi People's Committee has approved VND8.8 billion ($427,000) for building a waste dump in suburban Me Linh District's Thanh Lam Commune.

The dump, covering 2ha, is expected to be able to handle 200 tonnes of waste a day, helping to curb illegal dumping.

Preparation for the project will be completed this month.
