VietNamNet Bridge – Ha Noi Trang An 1 won the National Women's Football Championship, which ended on Wednesday in northern province of Ha Nam.


Celebration time: Ha Noi Trang An 1 players receive the 2011 national championship cup from the Viet Nam Football Federation Chairman Nguyen Trong Hy. The Hanoian girls grabbed 21 points after a two-leg, 10-match tournament which ended on Wednesday.
Ha Noi Trang An 1 earned 21 points from 10 matches. HCM City and Phong Phu Ha Nam both finished on 19 points but Phong Phu Ha Nam finished second because of a better goal difference.


Ha Noi's Kim Tien won the best player award, while Nguyen Thi Hoa was the top scorer.


The winning team walked away with VND200 million (US$10,000) in prize money, double last year's award. The two runners-up pocketed VND150 million and VND100 million.


Organisers also awarded bonuses to the best player, top scorer, best goal keeper and the team showing the best sportsmanship.


The tournament drew the participation of six teams – Phong Phu Ha Nam, Thai Nguyen, Viet Nam Coal and Mineral, HCM City and Ha Noi Trang An 1 and 2.


Teams competed in two legs. The first leg of the tournament took place from April 9 to April 27 and the second from July 2 to July 20.
