VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese gymnast Phan Thi Ha Thanh has failed to defend her bronze medal in the women’s single vault at the World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium.

The final round attracted eight athletes who are all outstanding world renowned individuals such as Simone Biles and McKayla Maroney.
In the first jump, she scored 15.066 points (with a difficulty level of 6.2), however, she received a one point deduction due to a fault when her foot overstepped the bar limit when touching the ground.
Thanh had an unsuccessful jump in the second round, but she gained 13.633 points.
On average she obtained 14.299 points after two jumps and ranked sixth among eight athletes.
Unfortunately the Vietnamese team were unable to secure a medal at the tournament, hopefuls Phan Thi Ha Thanh and Nguyen Ha Thanh did not perform to the best of their ability under pressure.
