VietNamNet Bridge – Students of the first course of the Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) Arsenal Football Academy JMG will represent Vietnam to attend an international tournament named Sanix Cup, held in Fukuoka, Japan from March 21 to 24.

The first training course of HAGL Arsenal JMG will finish this April and to prepare for the first international competition, the team will experience a specialized training period.

According to the Sanix Cup organizers, the tournament will have the participation of 16 teams, including four guest teams: Vietnam’s HAGL Arsenal Academy JMG, U17 Japan, and two teams from Australia and the UK.

The remaining 12 teams are the top team at the high school championships Japan 2012, the Kyshu 2012 high school football championship, the champion teams of the young tournament for clubs 2012 and the top regional teams in 2012.

16 teams will be divided into 4 groups, playing in a round robin to select the top and the second in each ground for the knockout round. The third and fourth teams in each group will play in the knockout round of another tournament called Global Arena Cup. The match of the qualifier round will take place in 70 minutes and it is 80 minutes for knock-out matches.

Being considered Vietnam’s U19 team at the tournament but the majority of HAGL Arsenal Academy JMG’s players are at the age of 17.

As planned, the team will practice in Ham Rong for one month before going to Japan.
