Chairman Doan Nguyen Duc, commonly called Boss Duc, of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group, plans to sign another three-year contract with former Thai football star Kiatisuk Senamuang in a bid to help HAGL FC conquer the V-League and regional football tournaments.

Kiatisuk's contract with HAGL expires after the 2022 football season. Boss Duc has made moves to keep "Zico Thai" with his team. Earlier, the businessman stated that Kiatisuk would stay with his team for a long time to lead young players like Cong Phuong, Tuan Anh, Xuan Truong to reach many goals, including the V-League championship, and to “attack” the continental arena.

According to observers, it was not difficult for Boss Duc to retain Kiatisuk, even though many Thai-League teams, even the Thai Football Federation,  wanted to employ the talented coach. With what the former Thai football star has shown in the past two seasons, Boss Duc should pay a higher salary and give him more preferential treatment to show respect and trust for Kiatisuk, who is currently paid around VND600 million ($28,000) per month.

After 13 rounds, HAGL stands 6th with 19 points, 10 points behind the top team, Hanoi FC.
