VietNamNet Bridge – Police of the northern port city of Hai Phong \have arrested a man who confessed to kill and dismember a woman whose body was found on January 7.

Nguyen Dung Giang, 31, confessed that he had killed Nguyen Thi Thu Hang, 38, from Le Chan district, with a hammer to rob her gold ring and motorbike.

Hang’s headless body was found in an isolated area in Kien An District, Hai Phong city on January 1. Her arms had also been chopped off and she was naked except for underpants.

After one day of investigation, local police identified Hang, a widow, who lived with her son.

Police found the victim’s motorbike at a parking lot and confiscated her ring from Giang.

They found a bag containing two arms andanother with clothes near the Lach Tray River.

Kien An District is the birthplace of Nguyen Duc Nghia, 27, who was sentenced to death last year for killing his girlfriend bybeheading her, and cutting off all her fingers.
