The 17th Hai Phong People’s Council for the 2026-2031 term formally opened its fourth session on August 10, a thematic meeting convened to carry out personnel decisions within its authority.
At the session, delegates voted to relieve officials of their posts as vice chairs of the municipal People’s Council and People’s Committee and elected replacements to the two positions.
With 100% of votes in favor, Le Tri Vu, head of the Organization Commission of the Hai Phong Party Committee, was elected Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Council.
Dao Trong Duc, Standing Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Council, was elected Vice Chairman of the 17th municipal People’s Committee for the 2026-2031 term.
The Hai Phong People’s Council also voted to relieve Dao Trong Duc of his position as Vice Chairman of the 17th municipal People’s Council.
Delegates also voted to relieve Vu Tien Phung of his position as Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee as he moves to a new role at the Organization Commission.
This afternoon, the Standing Board of the Hai Phong Party Committee held a conference to announce decisions by the Party Committee’s Standing Committee on personnel appointments.
Accordingly, Pham Hung Hung stepped down as Party Secretary of Thuy Nguyen Ward and was reassigned and appointed Chief of Office of the Hai Phong Party Committee. Nguyen Thi Nhu Trang, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, was reassigned and appointed Deputy Chief of Office of the Hai Phong Party Committee.
