The annual event is one of the biggest international marathons in Vietnam.

This year, apart from local marathoners, more than 1,600 foreigners have registered for the race.

It aims at creating a healthy and positive environment where running enthusiasts can challenge themselves, meet and share experiences over different routes ranging from 5km to 42km, including a track for children.

The special track offers runners a unique course across Bai Chay Bridge, the longest single span bridge in Southeast Asia. Athletes will have the chance to enjoy spectacular views over the magnificent landscape of the bay as well as picturesque mountains and coast lines.

Big bonuses of VND25 million are on offer for the winners of the 42km race, while organisers promise valuable awards for other champions.

Ha Long Bay to be promoted in World Yacht Race

The northern province of Quang Ninh will set up a team to compete at the Clipper 2019-2020 World Yacht Race, aiming to promote the local tourism, particularly the World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay.  

Cai Chien Island: one more beautiful tourist attraction in Quang Ninh

Quang Ninh Province has another gorgeous destination for tourists to enjoy. The People’s Committee of the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh has recognised Cai Chien Island in Hai Ha District as a provincial tourism site.
