One of the 10 honorees is Phan Thien Bach Anh, a fifth grader of the Quang Trung elementary school in Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi. Bach Anh is also studying at the National Music Academy. In 2012, she won the gold medal of the Asian International Music Festival in Korea and the first prize of group A at the second international piano competition.

She is not just a musical talent but also an excellent student of the Quang Trung Elementary School and an outstanding of the school year 2011-2012 of the National Academy of Music. In 2011, she won the second prize of the national excellent student competition and the fourth prize of the abacus and intellectual arithmetic in Malaysia.

Another artist who was honored as an outstanding young person of Hanoi is Pham Dinh Dung, from the Thang Long Puppet Theatre. In 2012, he won the gold medal at the 2nd International Puppet Festival in Hanoi and the gold medal at the Vietnamese traditional instrument festival.

He also contributed to bring Vietnamese water puppetry to many countries such as New Zealand, China, etc.

Vu Dinh Quang Dat, a 12th grader from the high school for gifted students of the Hanoi National University, is honored as an outstanding student. Quang was the top student in his school for 10 consecutive years. In 2012, he won a silver medal in the International Informatics Olympiad in Italy, the first prize at the national informatics competition for students and the third prize of mathematics on handheld computers.

A soldier who is praised this time is Bui Ngoc Tuan, from the Engineer Battalion 544. He commanded and directly detected and removed mines and explosives. His unit handled safely eight 8 bombs of 500 pounds and 670 fragmentation bombs in Viet Hung commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi.

The "Outstanding young faces of the capital" award was launched in 2008 in order to detect and honor outstanding young people in the fields of construction, protection of the capital and the country.

8. Vo Truong Nhu Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the Hanoi Medical University, Head of the Department of Children's Teeth of the Dental Training Institute, Deputy Director of Dental Engineering, Hanoi Medical University.

9. Nguyen Thi Thuong, lecturer of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

10. Bui Ngoc Tuan, commissar of the Company 2, Engineer Battalion 544, the High Command of the Capital.
