Following the establishment of the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Hanoi Party Committee’s Standing Board approved the transfer and appointment of Ngo Minh Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, as its Director. Hoang Le Viet Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism, was appointed Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
Following the merger of the Department of Planning and Architecture into the Department of Construction, eight officials were appointed Deputy Directors of the Department of Construction: Dao Duy Phong, Tran Huu Bao, Do Viet Hai, Luyen Van Phuong, Truong Hai Long, Tran Quang Tuyen, Nguyen Ba Nguyen and Dao Minh Tam.
The municipal Party Committee’s Standing Board also approved the appointment of Pham Tuan Long, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, as Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism following the merger of the Department of Tourism into the Department of Culture and Sports.
The newly reorganized Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has five Deputy Directors: Nguyen Thi Mai Huong, Le Thi Anh Mai, Pham Xuan Tai, Tran Trung Hieu and Nguyen Tran Quang.
Leadership changes at other agencies and localities
Nguyen Cao Minh, head of the Hanoi Metropolitan Railway Management Board, was transferred and appointed Secretary of the Yen Xuan Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
Mac Dinh Minh, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People’s Council of Yen Xuan Commune, was transferred and appointed head of the Hanoi Metropolitan Railway Management Board.
Hoang Trong Tung, Director of the Management Board for Technical Infrastructure and Agricultural Construction Investment Projects, was transferred and appointed Director of the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs.
Nguyen Van Quyen, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People’s Council of Bat Trang Commune, was transferred and appointed Director of the Management Board for Technical Infrastructure and Agricultural Construction Investment Projects.
Tran Anh Tuan, Party Secretary and Vice Rector of Hanoi Metropolitan University, was transferred and appointed to the Executive Committee and Standing Board of the Bat Trang Commune Party Committee and named its Party Secretary for the 2025-2030 term.
