The Quang An Peninsula is set to feature a green corridor, recreational areas, a spiritual cultural park, a thematic cultural and arts park, and a modern, large-scale theater emblematic of the capital.

Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, Duong Duc Tuan, has signed Decision 6132 to approve the detailed planning project for the central axis of the Quang An Peninsula, scaled at 1:500. The project encompasses areas within Quang An and Tu Lien Wards in Tay Ho District, Hanoi.

The plan aims to materialize the urban subdivision planning for the West Lake area and its surroundings (Zone A6) at a scale of 1:2000 and includes adjustments to specific planning blocks (16, 17, and 19) and associated roadways.

The planning area spans approximately 44.1 hectares, designated for a cultural and arts park, a city theater, religious and spiritual facilities, recreational zones, and commercial, hotel, and service areas.

Location boundaries: Northeast: Adjacent to Au Co and Xuan Dieu Streets; Northwest: Borders land near Dang Thai Mai Street and Thuy Su Lake; Southwest: Overlooks West Lake;  Southeast: Includes areas along Dang Thai Mai's corridor and Tay Ho Villa Complex.

The Quang An Peninsula will host a green corridor, cultural and recreational spaces, and a modern theater on over 25,600 square meters. The theater, with a total floor area of 42,000 square meters across two stories, will have a floor area usage coefficient of 1.6.

The plan integrates underground urban spaces, including parking facilities and technical infrastructure, with the city's overarching systems. Enhancements will include improved technical infrastructure, expanded transportation networks, additional parking facilities, and measures to protect the West Lake ecosystem and the surrounding environment.

The Hanoi People's Committee has tasked the Tay Ho District People's Committee and the Hanoi Institute of Construction Planning with overseeing legal compliance, organizing consultations with relevant stakeholders, and ensuring transparency in the planning process.

The Tay Ho District People's Committee will lead the public announcement of the approved detailed plan in coordination with the Department of Planning and Architecture and the Hanoi Institute of Construction Planning. This ensures accessibility for organizations, agencies, and residents.
