VietNamNet Bridge – In the near future, traffic rule violators may pay fines at traffic police stations, via ATMs, not having to go to the treasury or banks any more.
Colonel Dao Vinh Thang, Head of Hanoi traffic police department, says that the department plans to install ATMs at the citizen reception offices of the police to facilitate the traffic-rule violators to pay fines so they do not have to go to treasuries or banks.
"The offender can pay the fine by cash to the ATMs or by transferring and take a receipt without going to a treasury or a bank to pay fines. This will shorten the time and the unnecessary procedures for people," Thang says, adding that this will help build the image of close, friendly police officers.
To raise awareness in traffic, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department will install loudspeakers at 15 intersections where have traffic policewomen to diffuse knowledge on traffic rules.
