The new infections, including 47 community cases, were documented in 19 out of 30 districts in the city, with Gia Lam district alone registering 24 cases.
Notably, 23 people tested positive closely linked to an F0 case at a café in Quoc Oai district. Local authorities are stepping up contact tracing to early detect and separate F0 cases from the community.
Meanwhile, the headquarters of Hoang Liet ward’s People Committee in Hoang Mai district was locked down after an official tested positive for the virus. The patient had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Several districts such as Nam Tu Liem, Ha Dong have allowed F1 cases (those in direct contact with F0 cases) to self-quarantine at home.
The city has since the resurgence of the virus in late April recorded a total of 6,331 locally acquired infections, including 2,318 cases detected in the community through random testing or test screening.
