The event, first held in Hanoi last September, is one of the art projects in which participants will serve as a member of the orchestra by creating “musical instruments” using tools and materials that are often used in everyday life.

The amateur instrumentalists will then perform as part of a large, impromptu orchestra that is expected to feature varied sounds drawn from Hanoi’s streets.

Prior to the performance, two workshops will be held with Japanese guests, including musician Otomo Yoshihide and sound artist Suzuki Akio to teach participants how to make sound from the street and life in Hanoi, and learn how to create music instruments from daily life materials.

The free-entrance events will take place from 14:00 to 18:00, July 17 at 27 Quang Trung Street, Hoan Kiem district.
