VietNamNet Bridge – A concert featuring Japanese and Vietnamese opera singers will be held on February 7 at 27, Quang Trung Street, Ha Noi.
Two Japanese singers, Manami Suzuki and Daisuke Ohymama, and four Vietnamese singers have been invited to perform at the concert organised by the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Viet Nam.
Entitled Japanese and Vietnamese Opera Songs, the concert will feature six Japanese opera songs such as Moon Over the Ruined Castle and Japanese Larch.
The Vietnamese folk songs, including Beo Dat May Troi (Floating Water-Fern and Wandering Clouds) and Hoa Thom Buom Luon (Scented Flowers Surrounded by Butterflies) and two popular songs Ha Giang Que Huong Toi (Ha Giang, My Homeland) and Chiec Khan Pieu (Pieu's Scarf), will be sung in opera style.
The concert is the fifth edition of the Japan Garage Concert, which has been held since 2012 by the foundation in the hope of offering musical diversity to Ha Noi audiences through Japanese music played by distinguished musicians.
Entry will be free and the one-hour concert will begin at 2pm.
