Hanoi Police have received reinforcements of more than 600 officers and nearly 100 vehicles from the Traffic Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security to ensure safety and security for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
These reinforcements come from 33 provinces and cities across the country. The officers are experienced in motorcade escort and traffic command duties. The fleet includes well-maintained specialized vehicles such as Toyota Camrys and high-powered Honda GoldWings, all of which have undergone technical inspection and servicing.
In his address, Colonel Pham Quang Huy, Deputy Director of the Traffic Police Department, emphasized the critical role that traffic police play in maintaining order and ensuring absolute safety and security during the event.
In addition to managing traffic flow and directing traffic, these officers will be responsible for escorting domestic and international delegations and participating in the ceremonial parade formations.
Colonel Tran Dinh Nghia, Head of Hanoi’s Traffic Police Department, stated that a detailed operational plan has been developed, with specific assignments designated for each team and individual officer. The department is also working closely with other functional units to maintain the highest level of preparedness.
“All Hanoi traffic officers, along with the reinforcements, will uphold discipline and unity to successfully fulfill their duties, ensuring absolute order, traffic safety, and security throughout the celebration,” Colonel Nghia said.
The celebration marking 80 years since the August Revolution and National Day will commence at 6:30 a.m. on September 2, featuring large-scale military and civilian parades.
Prior to that, the organizing committee has scheduled a series of preparations: the first full rehearsal took place on the evening of August 21; the second rehearsal is set for August 24; the pre-review will be conducted on August 27; and the final rehearsal is scheduled for the morning of August 30.

On the morning of August 23, Hanoi Police welcomed nearly 600 officers and close to 100 specialized traffic vehicles sent by the Ministry of Public Security for the upcoming National Day celebration.
