VietNamNet Bridge – Several hours before opening for the public tonight, December 30, the flower street in Hanoi has attracted many viewers.





The event will take place from December 30, 2011, to January 1, 2012, on Dinh Tien Hoang, Le Thai To and Le Thach roads, King Ly Thai To flower garden and Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc square.

The flower street festival will showcase typical scenes of the northern delta with flower baskets, bamboo items, bamboo musical instruments, ao dai, quan ho love duets, the miniatures of Hue royal citadel, Hoi An ancient town, the Central Highlands gong space, Ha Long Bay, etc.

The festival will also include an exhibition zone with displays of rare trees, flower-made paintings, etc.

During the festival, various activities will be held, such as a flower arrangement contest, dragon dance shows, releasing lanterns, ao dai festival, folk games, a firework show, and others.

On the occasion of the New Year 2012, Hanoi will organize the Tourism Day to introduce Hanoi’s tourist attractions, craft villages, folk games and traditional arts to visitors.

The Thang Long royal citadel, the Temple of Literature and St. Giong Temple will be decorated to host art shows.

From December 28, 2011, to January 3, 2012, Dinh Tien Hoang road, which runs along Hoan Kiem Lake, will become a street for pedestrians.
