VietNamNet Bridge – Hanoi’s streets got chaotic last evening due to a cab robbery, which caused several accidents.

At 8:30pm people who were traveling on Tay Son street panicked because of a cab that was traveling at a high speed. The cab hit a motorbike after which it had a punctured tire and stopped.
At the scene of the accident the car was smoking heavily. The cab was a car belonging to a taxi firm in the northern coastal city of
Witnesses said that before puncturing its tire and stopping, this was speeding and hit two cars and two motorbikes on Nguyen Trai and Tay Son streets. At least four people were injured.
Some people chased after the cab until it stopped. Some were very angry so they demolished the car.
The driver was a male Asian foreigner, around 30 years old. He cursed in Vietnamese and threatened people before running away. However, he was seized and handed over to police.
Police said that this man robbed the cab and in his escape he caused the accidents.
They defined that he is a Chinese citizen named Liang Kun Lun, 34.
Police said Liang caught a taxi in Long Bien District on November 17 evening, and threatened the taxi driver with a brick. When the driver jumped out of the taxi to call for help, Liang drove the car away.
