Participants will enjoy live music performances, food and beverages in an outdoor setting in the heart of Hanoi, the American Club at 19-21 Hai Ba Trung Street.
There will be bands from the ASEAN region as well as art and community groups in and around Hanoi, including Protocol Afro (Indonesia), Big Bag (Myanmar), the Pinholes (Singapore) and Stylish Nonsense (Thailand), as well as Vietnamese dancer To Tam, DJ Ngoc, Re-Cycle band and XAI band.
The festival will also feature a creative arts market run by the Hanoi Flea Market, an area for artistic takeover and a children’s play area. In addition to promoting the cultural vibrancy of nations in South East Asia, the festival aims to raise ASEAN Pride awareness. The organizers also wish to eliminate barriers to equality, ending discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, and engaging lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities.
The festival has free entrance for ASEAN nationals (passport or ID may be required). There is also a limited number of advance tickets priced at VND320,000 from the start of May at CAMA ATK and The American Club or via ticketbox.vn.
Tickets on the gate will be VND400,000.
Last year’s event attracted over 2,000 people. CAMA ATK is located at 73 Mai Hac De Street, Hanoi. CAMA was created in 2005, working to bring international acts to Vietnam and support the most exciting local talent.
