VietNamNet Bridge – Various cultural activities will be held at a festival featuring Japanese anime and manga in Hanoi on July 27-28.

Many famous Japanese works, like Sailor Moon and Detective Conan which have been published in Vietnam since 1990, will be introduced along with the screening of anime series, such as Doraemon, Super Pig and Dinosaur King.

Visitors will also enjoy some Vietnamese and Japanese folk games, yosakoi and flashmob group dances and taste the traditional dishes of the two countries.

The finale of the cosplay contest for young people wearing costume and accessories to represent the heroes in the manga, will be the highlight of the festival.

The event is part of cultural activities marking the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties (1973-2013).
