From April 6 to10, the city traffic police will organise a campaign to raise awareness as well as strengthen the effectiveness and enforcement of the new regulation.

The department will form mobile task forces to monitor how city schools oversee and guide their students in complying with the rule. In addition, schools will be held accountable if their students are found breaking the rule.

Awareness sessions were held in various schools and other measures were taken to disseminate information regarding the importance of wearing helmets to ensure students' safety on roads.

Schools were also asked to help students and parents learn to wear protective helmets properly and to distinguish certified and high-quality helmets from counterfeit and poor-quality helmets.
