This positions them ahead of National University, Hanoi (1201-1500), National University, Ho Chi Minh City (1501+), and Hanoi University of Science and Technology (1501+).
On the global stage, the University of Oxford maintained its top spot for the ninth consecutive year, driven by significant improvements in teaching quality.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) climbed to second place, while Stanford University slipped to sixth. The top 10 schools are predominantly from the U.S. and U.K.
Meanwhile, Chinese universities are moving closer to the top 10, with Tsinghua University and Peking University bolstering their global research influence.
Australia’s top five universities saw declines in their rankings due to a dip in international reputation and outlook.
The 2025 Times Higher Education World University Rankings assessed 2,092 institutions from 115 countries and territories. Universities were evaluated based on 18 indicators, grouped into five categories: Teaching (29.5%), Research Environment (29%), Research Quality (30%), International Outlook (7.5%), and Industry Income (4%).
