This is the second free information counter in the Hanoi Old Quarter, following the first at the Emperor Ly Thai To flower garden. These counters provide Vietnamese and foreign tourists with free maps, brochures for hotels, restaurants and tours.

The main languages spoken at those centers are English and Vietnamese.

Apart from facilitating tourist with information, the counters also care for tourists’ security. Overcharged services from hotel, restaurants and tours in Hanoi can be reported to the staff at the counters, who will then forward the claims to local authorities.

According to the latest report by the Hanoi Department of Tourism, international visitors to Hanoi in the past nine months rose by 25% over the same period of 2015, reaching 2.8 million people, with a total turnover of VND4,386 billion, an increase of 5% year on year.
