Manh Hung, a peach grower in Hanoi, said that he hired around 10 people. The colder it is, the later the work is.

It requires a great amount of work to ensure a successful crop, including soil preparation and shape creation. The two last months of the year are the most important period.

If leaves are left to fall naturally, the peaches will blossom after Tet. Therefore, it is necessary to prune peach leaves before Tet.

The trimming time depends on different kinds of peach trees.

Each worker is paid VND200-250,000 (USD8.69-10.8) for 8 hours of work.

Some households spend millions of VND to hire people for the work.

Peach growers also support one another to prune the trees alternatively to save the costs.
