According to the report on Hanoi’s social-economic development plan for 2021-2025, the capital city will submit for approval the Hanoi Master Plan in the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
Hanoi will also complete the planning for 14 districts and functional areas during this time.
At the same time, the city will propose policies and develop planning to turn Dong Anh, Soc Son and Me Linh districts into city.
The city also targets completing urban subdivision planning of the Red River, Duong River and satellite towns; detailed planning, and urban design of existing residential areas.
Hanoi plans to complete and put into operation the following projects: Kim Quy culture, tourism and entertainment park in Dong Anh district) and the multi-purpose entertainment complex - horse racing track in Soc Son district.
Besides, the city will call for investment in a financial center tower and 1-2 large-scale outlets. It aims to have a regional wholesale and shopping center, 3 logistics centers, 15 commercial centers, shopping centers, 80 supermarkets and 107 markets by 2025.
Regarding the construction of the urban infrastructure system, Hanoi will complete key traffic projects such as the West Thang Long axis, Hoang Cau-Voi Phuc belt road, Mai Dong - Nga Tu Vong and Dam Hong - Giai Phong belt roads among other works.
In addition, the city will speed up the implementation of other traffic projects such as the overhead traffic project, urban railways…; develop a static transport network; build underground parking lots, etc.
