The capital team has so far won 10 gold medals, 12 silver, and 12 bronze, followed by HCM City with nine gold, seven silver, and bronze and Binh Duong with three gold, two silver and one bronze.

Beach volleyball, dance sports and basketball 5x5 closed yesterday.

In beach volleyball, Khanh Hoa are top medalists with two gold and one bronze in both men and women’s categories. Runners-up are Ho Chi Minh City with a silver and a bronze. Second runners-up are Hai Phong with one silver.

In dancesports, Hanoi confirm their power with five gold, six silver and five bronze, followed by Dong Nai with three gold, one silver and four bronze, and HCM City with two gold, three silver and one bronze.

In basketball, winner are HCM City with two golds in men’s and women’s categories. Runners-up are Can Tho and Military with two silvers for each, while Hanoi won two bronze and Binh Thuan, Quang Ninh took one bronze.  

Meanwhile, other sports being competed are pétanque, handball, badminton, diving, pencak silat, tennis, rowing, fitness and cycling.  

In tennis men’s doubles, there were no surprises as Ly Hoang Nam and Le Khanh Duy of Binh Duong team beat Da Nang 2-0, to win a place in the final.   

HCM City team also entered final at 2-1. While Thai Nguyen beat Thai Nam from Dak Lak 6-2, 6-4, Dac Tien from Hanoi beat Minh Quan from HCM City 6-3, 6-3.

In men’s doubles, Quoc Khanh and Minh Quan beat Dac Tien and Xuan Hau from Hanoi 6-1, 7-5.

In the women’s singles, Fodor Csilla beat Nhu Quynh from 6-0, 6-2, while Thanh Binh from Da Nang beated Dai Trang from HCM City 6-4, 6-1.

Da Nang team won a ticket to finals and will meet Kien Giang, who beat Hanoi 2-0 in the semi-finals.
