According to a swift summary from the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs, based on reports from over 3,100 enterprises, the salaries and Tet bonuses for 2026 continue to show significant disparities among different types of businesses.

For one-member limited liability companies wholly owned by the state, the highest monthly salary reached $1,910 per person, while the lowest was $267.

For New Year's Day, the average bonus in this group was around $41 per person. The highest bonus recorded was $615 per person, while the lowest was just $21.

During the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2026, the average bonus in this sector reached $144 per person. Notably, one company awarded a maximum of $4,230 per person, while the lowest was $33.

For joint stock companies with dominant state capital, the highest salary was $1,850 per month per person, and the lowest was $271.

New Year's Day bonuses in this group averaged around $41 per person, with the highest at $738 and the lowest at $21. For Tet 2026, the average bonus reached $152 per person. The highest bonus recorded in this group was $1,850 per person, and the lowest was $33.

Meanwhile, private enterprises continued to report the highest salaries and Tet bonuses among all business types.

The highest monthly salary in this group was $9,450 per person, while the lowest remained at $267.

For New Year’s Day, the average bonus was around $33 per person, with the highest at $1,230 and the lowest at $25. Particularly noteworthy was the Lunar New Year 2026, where the average bonus reached $164 per person.

A standout figure came from one private enterprise that awarded a Tet bonus of $25,300 per person — the highest recorded — while the lowest in the group was $41.

As for foreign-invested enterprises (FDI), the highest salary was $9,240 per person per month, and the lowest was $226.

New Year’s Day bonuses in the FDI sector averaged around $41, with the highest recorded at $1,520 and the lowest at $25.
