VietNamNet Bridge - Just because her portrait was engrafted into the picture of a girl wearing an off-the-shoulder blouse, a newly high school graduate committed suicide with pesticide.
The altar of the schoolgirl.
The heartbreaking incident occurred in the afternoon on June 27 in Huong Ngai commune, Thach That district, Hanoi. The victim was NTTL, 18, who had just completed the 12th grade of the Hai Ba Trung High School.
According to the police, at an extra class, the girl was portrayed by a classmate named Nguyen Thanh H, who then engrafted NTTL’s portrait to the photo of a beautiful girl wearing an off-the-shoulder blouse and posted it on Facebook.
NTTL asked her classmate to remove the photo, otherwise she would commit suicide. Thinking that this is only a joke, the boy did not delete the picture. Many other classmates and the teacher knew this.
In the afternoon of that day, the schoolgirl bought herbicides and took home to drink. Her family detected the suicide and brought the girl to the hospital. However, the girl died on July 1.
During her time in the hospital, the girl wrote down her story in a letter, which is now seized by the police to serve investigation.
The police questioned all people involved in the incident and clarified the cause of the suicide.
This is not the first time someone has done a joke by photo engrafting. Several years ago, some schoolgirls in Hanoi had hard times when their photos were engrafted into sex clips and photos.
Mr. Le Anh Tuan, Headmaster of the Hai Ba Trung High School, said that students must be strictly warned of the consequences of this stupid joke and educated how to face such circumstances and to have smarter behaviors instead of choosing negative solutions.
In related news, the Children’s Hospital 1 in HCM City on July 1 saved the life of a 14-year-old boy from Tra Vinh province who committed suicide with paracetamol after being scolded by his mother.
According to doctors, the boy took 40 pills of 500 mg paracetamol to commit suicide after his mother scolded and forced him to stop playing computer games to study.
