On September 4, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi organized the program "United against the epidemic" to support foreigners living in the city who face difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.
At the program, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi presented 25 gift bags, each including VND500,000 in cash and necessities such as rice, cooking oil, cakes, fish sauce, masks, and antiseptic water worth VND350,000.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lam district also donated VND500,000 to each gift bag.
These were part of a total of 270 gift bags given by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi to foreigners living, studying and working in the city who are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic on the occasion of the National Day, worth VND229 million ($10,000), including VND135 million in cash and goods worth VND94.5 million.
Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi Nguyen Lan Huong encouraged foreigners who are working, studying and living in Hanoi to implement measures to combat the Covid-19 epidemic, take care of themselves, participate in epidemic prevention work at the place of residence and contribute to the city's fight against the epidemic.
On September 1 to 3, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Union of Friendship Organizations of Hanoi presented gifts to over 70 pandemic-hit foreigners in Hoan Kiem and Tay Ho districts.
More gifts will be presented to pandemic-affected foreigners in the city in the coming days.
