VietNamNet Bridge – The capital city will be as glistening as it was during the city’s 1000th anniversary (October 1-10) from January 6 to February 8 to celebrate the National Party Congress and the lunar New Year.

 

Hanoi’s Vice Chair Nguyen Van Khoi said besides the systems of lamps decorating the city during the 1000th anniversary, the city will install decorative lamps with the theme of “Congratulate the Party, Welcome Spring”. Lamps will be turn on as of 6 pm everyday.

Symbols of the National Party Congress will be placed around the National Convention Center, roads to the center, around the Hoan Kiem Lake and Ba Dinh area.

The surrounding areas of the Party, the National Assembly, the government offices and the Hanoi People’s Committee will be decorated with flowers, trees and lamps.

During this time, trucks will be banned in the city’s center.

All on-the-road works must be completed prior to December 30.
