The celebrations are aimed at praising the traditional values of the Vietnamese family and creating opportunities for families to meet and interact.

There will be six exhibitions themed on mother and children, happy family, family with equal rights, family with traditional handicrafts and family with reading culture.

The family-themed exhibitions with a common message: family is the starting point where love never ends, will introduce some activities hosted by the Viet Nam Women’s Union to support women in strengthening happiness in their families and play an important role in educating their children.

The exhibition themed on equal rights will display 20 photos that won in the photo contest this year hosted by the Swedish Embassy and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism while the exhibition on handicraft will display typical handmade products by 19 families in 15 handicraft villages in Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh and Cao Bang.

The exhibition on reading culture will introduce valuable books for all ages.

According to organisers of the event, an art show and health consultancy for elderly people will also be held at the site.

All activities will take place at the Viet Nam Centre for Culture and Arts Exhibition, 2, Hoa Lu Street, Hanoi.
