On the sidelines of the 11th meeting of the Hanoi People’s Council on December 3, Hai said the city’s online public service solutions, including those provided by Nhat Cuong, are still operational, news site Vietnamplus reported.
The municipal Party chief confirmed that the city has sufficient staff to ensure the smooth and effective operations of the software system for the city’s level 3 and 4 online public services, and online business registration.
The conclusion of an investigation into smuggling, money laundering and accounting irregularities among Nhat Cuong Mobile, Nhat Cuong Software and other companies and agencies will be published by the police shortly.
Answering a question on the case against Nguyen Tien Hoc, former deputy director of the Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment, for his alleged involvement in Nhat Cuong Mobile’s violations, incumbent director of the department Nguyen Manh Quyen said that the department would review all procedures for project approval.
On November 29, the Ministry of Public Security announced that it had charged and detained Hoc; Pham Thi Kim Tuyen, head of the Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment’s business registration division; and Le Duy Tuan, sales manager at Dong Kinh Development and Investment Co., Ltd, for violating bidding regulations with serious consequences, as part of an expansion of an investigation into violations by Nhat Cuong Mobile and Nhat Cuong Software.
