The National Academy of Public Administration announced this yesterday.

Minister of Home Affairs Tran Anh Tuan, head of the conference's steering committee, said that this year's theme of "Public Administration and Governance in the Context of Regional and Global Integration" was crucial for ASEAN to build a united, dynamic and wealthy community in 2015.

During the conference, EROPA members will share innovative approaches and practices to public administration in the Asia-Pacific region in a bid to tackle challenges in the era of regional integration, he added.

This is the third time that the National Academy of Public Administration is hosting the annual conference, following those in 1997 and 2005.

EROPA, the first of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region, aims to boost socio-economic development in the region through co-operation on theoretical research and development, system reform and best practices in the fields of public administration and governance.

It acts as a platform for the exchange of information and innovative approaches for effective and transparent governance.

EROPA comprises 10 member states, 58 institutions, universities and organisations, and 229 individuals.
