The Vietnam International Travel Mart – VITM 2016 themed “Vietnam – The paradise of sea and island tourism” is set to take place in Hanoi from April 14-17.

This year’s event will introduce visitors to thousands of the country’s tourism offers in general and sea and island tourism in particular.

The annual fair aims to draw more international tourists to Vietnam as well as increase the number of domestic visitors to the sea and island areas.

VITM Hanoi 2016 is designed to boost the three sectors of tourism - Inbound, Domestic & Outbound.

Speaking at a press conference in Hanoi on February 22, the Organizing Board said Russian tourists would be guests of honor of this year’s event.

So far, 535 travel operators from 24 countries and territories have registered to participate in the event.
