The train will feature 10 double-decker carriages, each named after one of Hanoi’s historic city gates, such as O Quan Chuong, O Cau Den, and O Cho Dua. The project is being fast-tracked to ensure the train is ready for service on schedule.

Operating three trips daily at 8:00, 14:00, and 20:30, the train will depart from Hanoi Station, passing through Long Bien, Gia Lam, Yen Vien, and Tu Son before returning. Passengers will enjoy a nostalgic journey enriched with music and art exhibitions evoking the charm of old Hanoi.

Earlier this year, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), Vietnam Railways also ran the “Reunification Train” as a symbolic journey to inspire national pride, unity, and the aspiration for development.
